Role Description

A full-time role for an IT Systems and Security Engineer role in Makati responsible for a range of critical functions, including security framework compliance, the creation and enforcement of policies, and the automation of user lifecycle management. Additional duties cover comprehensive asset and device management, as well as providing foundational network and hardware troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Assess existing security controls and system vulnerabilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to address identified vulnerabilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing security and data privacy policies and procedures
  • Create and maintain documentation such as procedures, guides, and incident reports
  • Assist in IT-related audits
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on security best practices and awareness
  • Handle asset and user lifecycle management
  • Address any network or hardware-related concerns

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Experience with information security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR and implementation thereof
  • Experience in Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) is an advantage
  • Experience building IT and security systems from the ground up
  • Experience with data privacy or familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations is an advantage
  • With 1-5 years of relevant work experience in the IT field
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience working in a startup environment is a plus
