About The Role

Our Risk team sits at the very core of Revolut. Those special agents work across functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure that the business is on safe footing. People in the Risk team are among the first in the company to get involved in new business initiatives, from app technology, through treasury and finance, to customer support.

We're looking for a Head of Risk Management to lead the implementation of cross-functional elements of the risk management framework in the Philippines, including governance structures, monitoring and reporting daily risk exposures, and managing the new initiatives approval process.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading the identification and assessment of risks across new products, business relationships and business expansions (partnerships or acquisitions)
  • Partnering with senior management to provide assurance on operational risks and monitor key risk indicators
  • Building strong relationships with regulators
  • Providing early guidance on regulatory change and supporting strategy implementation
  • Supporting the development and testing of business continuity plans
  • Developing and monitoring local risk registers with embedded controls
  • Producing reports to support business growth, inform decisions and update regulators
  • Adapting group risk policies to local context
  • Advising the Board on risk profile and risk management framework suitability
  • Managing outstanding risk issues from audits, reviews and regulatory inspections
  • Leading and coaching the local Risk team

What You'll Need
  • 8 years of experience managing risk functions in a regulated retail banking environment
  • Proven track record in setting up and managing first or second line of defence risk functions
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulation relating to financial activities
  • A technical background in creating and implementing simple solutions quickly
  • A passion for delivering great customer outcomes
  • Experience participating in executive committees in financial services
  • Outstanding leadership skills

Nice to have
  • Exposure to high-growth startups or scale-ups in finance, digital banks or across other industries
  • Experience as a Chief Risk Officer or Head of Risk
