About the Role
The primary function of a Sales Executive is to generate revenue by bringing in new customers and to increase the market share and profitability of his/her given portfolio through relationship management of the Bank and Non-Bank Partners, Strategic and SME merchants. The role involves:
- Interaction and management with merchants;
- Cultivating existing relationships;
- Overseeing and monitoring of merchant accounts allocated to him/her
- Actively monitoring of the services and development of relationships with merchants
- Maximizing new business and cross selling opportunities;
- Engagement of referral partners such as banks, Ecomm integrators and other partners.
What we're looking for
- Degree holder in Business related courses, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
- Experience in Banking or Insurance industry
- With at least 1-2 years sales experience in merchant acquisition
- Sales experience in credit card business is a plus
- Able to plan, organize and make effective sales presentations
- Capable to conduct training for external customers, including partners
- With excellent organization, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills when dealing with external customers
- Good English and Filipino communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications especially Excel
- Entrepreneurial character, self-starter, capable of developing & executing an effective sales strategy
- Self-motivated & adaptable to changing conditions in the workplace
- Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities
- Able to develop local market for Global products
- Only candidates with permanent residence in Philippines will be considered
- Must be residing in Cagayan de Oro and willing to travel if deemed needed
What you'll be doing
- To visit Partner offices/branches or liaise with Partner contact on a regular basis to encourage them to refer potential customer to BPI-Global Payments.
- To convert and sign up newly referred accounts on a monthly basis to deliver the assigned business targets.
- To drive sales activities from existing and new accounts with end result favoring Global Payments
- To identify customers and markets with sound revenue potentials with or without the contribution of the Partner
- To conduct effective negotiations with customers – merchants and even with Partners, for competitive and sustainable pricing/terms for the business
- To ensure all account opening requirements and processes comply with business requirements
- To manage, build and develop merchant relationships. To ensure that these relationships are profitable to the business
- To continuously sign up new accounts on a monthly basis to deliver the assigned business targets
- To drive sales activities from existing and new accounts with end result favoring Global Payments
- To identify customers and markets with sound revenue potentials
- To conduct effective negotiations with customers for competitive and sustainable pricing/terms for the business
- To ensure all account opening requirements and processes comply with business requirements
- To manage, build and develop merchant relationships. To ensure that these relationships are profitable to the business
- To minimize merchant attrition
- To help ensure operational efficiency and the proper delivery of services by vendors/security team, e.g., POS terminal installation & servicing, card acceptance training & fraud prevention
- To collaborate with management on new product development, sales support activities and new revenue opportunities
- To effectively forecast potential sales & revenue from new and existing markets and to identify the required marketing activities to achieve the sales & revenue forecast
- To participate in any necessary sales meetings and training activities
- To develop one's knowledge of competitors' activities, industry standards, market trends, technology, systems, and other relevant information
- Monitor sales and profitability for Strategic and SME merchants to maximize business and specifically identify cross sell opportunities to increase revenue
- Monitor competitor activity within the assigned portfolio and identify threats and possible remedial actions to avert attrition
- Maintain close personal contact and build rapport with management personnel of merchants that may potentially develop as key accounts through business growth and development of new income streams
- Strategic visits to merchants that are potentially targeted by competitors
- Monitor and if necessary, address merchant complaints and requirements whether on head office or outlet level
- Maintain close relationships with other Farmer Managers to leverage their account relationships
- Develop and execute an Account Development Plan to maximize sales and profitability of their given portfolio
- Liaise merchant requirements through the SATs and ensure internal and external service providers comply with agreed SLA's in order to deliver excellent customer service to the merchant base
