The Asst. Merchandising Manager supports the Merchandising Manager in ensuring that stores have the optimum product assortment and inventory levels for the assigned categories at any given time. He/she is the driving force of the product mix – across assigned channels or stores, ensuring that each respective store has the right assortment based on its market. The Asst. Merchandising Manager is the inventory owner of the categories in his/her respective stores assigned to him/her, and is expected to collaborate with different departments to ensure sell-out of products, and a healthy optimum inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of a 4-year course, preferably a degree in business, supply chain, merchandising or other relevant fields
  • With at least 3 years of related work experience of a related industry of notable size, complexity, and significance.
  • With at least 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Basic understanding of merchandising and inventory management practices and procedures
  • Above average analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Very proficient in MS Office applications
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Detail oriented in reading business numbers and data.
  • Ability to coordinate with different departments in order to fulfil tasks.
  • Has an understanding of the buying process, and the importance of choosing the best product assortment using data.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Sales Target Achievement (100%) per Channel

2: Merchandise Planning

  • New Store:
  • Determines and curates the planogram per store and the product mix down to the SKU level
  • Coordination with Supply chain and visual merchandising teams on allocations per brand
  • Perform store set-ups
  • New store opening post mortem reports
  • Current Store:
  • Curation of planogram per store to match the product mix according to the store's demographics.
  • Review of set min-max per brand and per store.
  • Ensure on time collection launches
  • Monitor store compliance on new collection and VM guidelines as needed.
  • Execution of Distribution Plan or initial allocation for new collection
  • Ensure that product drops for new collections are ready for store training before launches.

3: Assortment Analysis

  • Maintain ideal mix per given planogram and ensure by co ordinating with supply chain team to fill in product gaps
  • Maintain the ratio per attribute (gender, material, frame color, frame shape, price per brand group).
  • Review store replenishment per brand
  • Bi-annual review of planogram with Channel Merch.
  • Increff management
  • Set up of parameters per annual review
  • Update and monitor set parameters
  • Analyze sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock
  • Weekly Official Business activities:
  • Store Visits (COS and DS-OG)
  • Competitor Checks

4: Inventory Management

  • Manage a healthy inventory and ensure correct buying.
  • Store fill rate (90% to 110%)
  • Store MOH at 6
  • Ensure inventory requirement per store based on set min-max.
  • Create reports on sales and inventory for better business decision:
  • Weekly WIGS Report
  • Sales vs Target report (as per given template)
  • Inventory Analysis per Channel
  • Bi monthly Sales vs Inventory Analysis per Channel
  • 16 of the month – 1 to 15 of current month
  • 1 of the month – 16 to 31 of the previous month
  • Quarterly Business Review per Channel
