Job Title: Quality Assurance Software Engineer III

Location: Cebu (Full Onsite)

Work Schedule: Graveyard Shift, 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced QA Software Engineer III to join our team in Cebu. This role is responsible for ensuring that software products meet the highest standards by conducting thorough testing, validating functionality against requirements, and identifying opportunities for improvement. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and play a key role in maintaining product quality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review requirements and technical designs to define test scope and estimates.
  • Design, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Perform functional, system, web, and backend testing across different environments.
  • Track, report, and communicate software defects and enhancement requests.
  • Conduct audits of software documentation, processes, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and align on solutions.
  • Recommend process improvements by identifying error trends and root causes.
  • May lead testing efforts for small to mid-sized projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–7 years' experience in software QA testing methodologies.
  • Strong experience in testing web and backend applications (Java, SQL, PL/SQL).
  • Proficiency with QA techniques: functional/system testing, automation, anomaly reporting, black box/white box testing.
  • Advanced knowledge of databases, SQL joins, and ETL processes (Informatica is a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with UNIX systems and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with defect/test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, Bugzilla, ClearQuest).
  • Experience working in Agile/Rapid development environments preferred.

  • Knowledge of healthcare, managed care, or regulated environments.
  • Experience with automation frameworks in Java and SOA-based architectures.
  • Background in medical or pharmaceutical terminology.
