CSR - Appointment Scheduler

Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding appointment scheduling, rescheduling, cancellations, and general healthcare information.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems or scheduling software.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and eligibility prior to appointment confirmation.
- Provide patients with clear instructions regarding appointment details, preparation requirements, and clinic policies.
- Handle patient requests professionally and escalate complex issues to appropriate healthcare staff when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards.
- Document patient interactions and appointment details accurately in the system.
- Follow up with patients regarding missed or canceled appointments as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to optimize scheduling efficiency and patient flow.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 months of experience in BPO industries
- Previous experience in healthcare scheduling, customer service, or a call center environment preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, healthcare systems, and insurance processes is beneficial.
- Proficient in using computer systems, appointment scheduling software, and electronic health records (EHR).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
