Job Description

As a Data Entry Specialist, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data through meticulous entry, validation, and reporting. Your work will support global operations by maintaining high data quality standards while collaborating with teams to streamline processes.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • No specific years of experience required
  • Previous experience in data entry, clerical, or administrative support role preferred
  • Proficiency in typing and data entry with a high level of accuracy and speed
  • Intermediate ability with MS Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
  • Familiarity with data entry software and tools is a plus

Your Daily Tasks

Data Entry

  • Input alphanumeric data from source documents into designated databases or electronic files
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entry by reviewing and verifying information for errors or discrepancies
  • Follow established data entry procedures and guidelines to maintain consistency and quality

Data Validation and Cleansing

  • Validate and cleanse data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity
  • Identify and correct errors, duplicates, or inconsistencies in data entries
  • Perform data quality checks and resolve discrepancies to maintain data integrity

Document Management

  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical files containing data records
  • Update and edit existing records as needed to reflect changes or corrections
  • Adhere to document retention policies and confidentiality requirements

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct quality checks on data entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
  • Review and verify data against source documents or reference materials
  • Document and report any data quality issues or anomalies for resolution

Timely Delivery

  • Meet established productivity and accuracy targets for data entry tasks
  • Prioritize and manage workload to ensure timely completion of assignments
  • Communicate proactively with supervisors or team leads regarding any challenges or delays

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline data entry processes and improve efficiency

Communication and Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and resolve issues
  • Collaborate with other departments or stakeholders to ensure data entry requirements are met
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving data entry procedures and systems
