POSITION TITLE : SR. CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT C

SALARY GRADE : 16

BASIC FUNCTION :

Responsible for monitoring sales, inventory of equipment, materials and supplies issued, completed development of sales, preparing financial reports, consolidation, analyzing and reconciling receivable/payables accounts with the local government and other government agencies, analyzing claims or payments of the corporation especially contractors progress billing.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepare periodic financial reports;

  2. Initiates/recommends revisions for accounting system/procedure to improve current accounting practice;

  3. Assists Chief Corporate Accountant A in the preparation of reports needed by Management;

  4. Analyzes/determines accounts on various accounts payable and other claims on payments of the corporation especially contractors progress billing/suppliers billings and other creditors upon verification of memorandum of payments;

  5. Analyzes and reconciles subsidiary ledger balances with the general ledger balance.;

  6. Initiates preparation of journal vouchers affecting cash on hand, cash in bank and cash advance accounts;

  7. Prepares quarterly statement of income and expense of each project/department and/or schedule of income and expense accounts; and

  8. Performs other related functions as may be required.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education : Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Business Administration major in

Accounting

Experience : One (1) year experience in accounting and financial analysis work

Training : 4 hours of relevant training on prescribed government accounting

systems and procedures

Eligibility : RA 1080 (CPA)
