I JOB DEFINITION (2025)

This role is responsible for accurately creating content for social media platforms in Japanese.  Posts, reels and Videos ensures cultural relevance and engagement with the target audience.

This includes translating posts, captions, and other content formats, as well as potentially creating original content in Japanese for social media.

This is a Work From Home (WFH) position with weekly online team meetings and occasional face to face organization meetings.

II PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content Translation - Create engaging social media content (Posts, captions, videos and other media formats in Japanese that aligns with the brand's voice and target audience.

Translation and Localization- Accurately translate written and potentially spoken content between Japanese and English, ensuring cultural nuances and context are appropriately conveyed.

Cultural Sensitivity- Ensure all content is culturally appropriate and relevant to the Japanese audience, avoiding potential misunderstandings or misinterpretations.

Quality Assurance - Proofread and edit translations to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency with brand guidelines.

Collaboration - Work closely with other team members, including marketing, content creators, and social media managers, to ensure cohesive messaging.

III JOB REQUIREMENTS:

·      Native or Near-Native Fluency -Excellent command of both Japanese and English, with a strong understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and cultural nuances.

·      Strong Writing and Editing Skills- Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content in both Japanese and English.

·      Cultural Awareness -Deep understanding of Japanese culture and customs, enabling the creation of culturally relevant content.

·      Knowledge in Graphic Design tools such as Canva, Capcut, Adobe Illustrator, Premiere, Figma and behance.
