We're looking for a detail-oriented and quality-driven Quality Assurance and Training Officer to help strengthen our laboratory's Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with national and international standards. In this role, you'll support audit readiness, oversee staff training and competency programs, and champion initiatives that uphold diagnostic accuracy, patient safety, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Implement and monitor the Laboratory Quality Management System in alignment with ISO 15189, DOH LTO, CAP, and JCI standards.
  • Lead internal audits, support external audit activities, and track corrective and preventive actions
  • Organize and update quality documents such as SOPs, guidelines, and records.
  • Plan and coordinate training, onboarding, and competency checks for lab staff.
  • Keep training records updated and ensure staff attend regular safety and process refresher trainings.
  • Help investigate incidents, find root causes, and support risk reduction plans.
  • Coordinate External Quality Assurance (EQA) and proficiency testing for all lab areas.
  • Prepare quality reports, dashboards, and updates for monthly review meetings.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related clinical/laboratory science field.
  • Preferably with PRC license as Registered Medical Technologist.

Certifications (Preferred):

● ISO 15189:2022 Internal Auditor

    ● Quality Management System Certification (ISO 9001)

    ● Certified Trainer or similar credentials in adult learning

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting
  • At least 2 years in a quality assurance, compliance, or training role
  • Prior involvement in audits or accreditation processes is a strong advantage

Skills and Attributes:

  • Knowledgeable in ISO 15189, DOH LTO requirements, JCI and ISO 9001 frameworks
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and document control platforms
