JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Project Coordinator (PC) ably assists the Project Manager (PM) with the coordination of resources (e.g., project stakeholders, tools, equipment, and processes), project activities such as team meetings and project-related information (e.g., project status reports). The Project Coordinator helps the PM coordinate and organize projects with the goal of getting them completed; mindful of scope, timeline, cost and quality.

Reports To: Designated IT Manager – Project Management and/or designated senior member of IT Project Management team

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Takes directions from the PMs when it comes to planning, organizing and managing all activities required to successfully implement projects and achieve the project's goals and objectives.
  • Ensures that project activities are properly coordinated with relevant project stakeholders in a timely manner. This includes, but is not, limited to the following:
  • Vendor presentations
  • Requirements gathering
  • Testing activities like Quality Assurance Test (QAT)/Systems Integration Test (SIT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT)
  • Project meetings with IT Project Team, relevant project stakeholders and vendors
  • Project Steering Committee reviews
  • Knowledge transfer with vendor, users and Application Support teams
  • Takes directions and instructions from the PMs in coordinating and executing project decisions and other project-related initiatives. Helps the PM initiate follow-through / follow-ups on a timely basis; mindful of which project activities, tasks, issues and concerns need to be prioritized.
  • Helps the PMs prepare and send Project Status Reports and project communication efforts in an accurate and timely manner to relevant project stakeholders.
  • Prepares, updates and manages repositories of project documentation and artefacts such as minutes of the meeting, task list, etc.
  • Coordination and acquirement of project document sign-offs such as Change Request documents, Request for Payments (RFP) and relevant project documentation.
  • In a more senior capacity, helps other Project Coordinators in fulfilling tasks assigned;guiding other team members how to methodically follow the project management process and other relevant processes that drive a project.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
  • New graduates may be considered depending on the quality and traits of the candidate.
  • Formal trainings in project management and related topics would be advantageous.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience of which 2-3 years is in an IT project management capacity (e.g., Project Coordinator, Business Analyst, and Quality Assurance Lead).
  • Preferably has been part of at least 10-15 full-scale IT projects from initiation to completion as Project Coordinator or as a valued IT Project Team member.
  • Preferably has experience in an integrated resort or an equivalent environment (Casino, Hotel, Finance, F&B, BOH)

  • Can understand and execute tasks and priorities based on the direction from the Project Manager.
  • The ability to listen, execute tasks as instructed and multitask when needed; coordinating multiple projects and tasks at the same time.

  • Always observant, attentive and aware.

Technical Skills :

  • Solid understanding and knowledge in the use of different project management tools, applications and techniques like:
  • oMS Project, SharePoint and equivalent.
  • o Project scheduling, task dependency in project management, work breakdown schedule, critical path analysis.
  • o Waterfall, Agile project management
  • o Process workflows
  • o MS Office applications like Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability and flexibility to understand advanced IT lingo not only on a project management context but also in other areas of IT that may be required in the implementation of a project (e.g., database, network, systems, security and the like).

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Php80, Php100,000.00 per month
