About the Company
Our client is a US-based firm whose preschool curriculum integrates physical movement, storytelling, and learning through themed adventures. Their curriculum is aligned with best practices in early childhood education. In addition, they have developed a unique set of proven engagement techniques that keep 2.5-5 year-olds focused for 30+ minutes. When combined, their solution empowers teachers, reduces their workload, and helps prevent burnout.
Their goal is to help preschool centers solve their #1 problem: teacher burnout and turnover.
They are just starting to roll out their complete implementation system (lesson plans, equipment, support) along with their cohort-based virtual training to high-quality preschools like the Goddard Schools in the US.
They are not selling traditional professional development. They are selling a teacher retention solution to preschools that pays for itself.
About the Role
They are looking for a proactive and experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) to spearhead their B2B sales outreach to preschool and childcare center owners and directors.
This role will start by focusing on lead generation, multi-channel outreach, and CRM management. The right candidate can evolve into a full-cycle Account Executive role capable of handling demos, answering inquiries, and closing deals.
The ideal candidate is an experienced self-starter who can collaborate with the founder to build the outbound B2B sales process to shape and optimize the go-to-market strategy. They understand the nuances of education-sector selling and consultative sales in general. They are willing to become experts in the company's offerings so that they can successfully execute a strategic, research-driven outreach to a specific audience - it is not a high-volume, cold-calling play.
Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Research:
- Identify and collect contact information for target preschools and daycare centers (initially focusing on The Goddard School network).
- Build and maintain a structured database of prospects within a CRM system (Zoho CRM).
Outbound Prospecting:
- Execute cold email, phone, and LinkedIn/DM outreach campaigns to introduce our curriculum and professional development packages.
- Craft personalized, compelling outreach messages tailored to the early education audience.
CRM & Pipeline Management:
- Track all outreach activity and lead status within the CRM.
- Maintain clean, accurate data to support reporting and sales forecasting.
Collaboration & Training:
- Work closely with the founder to develop outreach strategies and refine messaging.
- Be willing to explain your sales approach and best practices to support the founder's learning process.
- Participate in regular check-ins and share insights on what's working in outreach and conversion efforts.
Sales Enablement & Closing Support:
- Support sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Potential to transition into managing the full sales cycle — from first contact to closing licensing deals.
Competencies and Qualifications
Must-Have
- At least 4-6 years of experience in B2B outbound sales, ideally in educational products/services and/or professional development offerings.
- Strong grasp of cold outreach strategies (email, phone, LinkedIn).
- Experience managing leads and pipelines in a CRM platform (Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Familiarity with U.S. time zones and willingness to work hours aligned with U.S.-based clients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort with both independent execution and collaborative work with leadership.
- A demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding activity-based KPIs
- Proven success in a 100% outbound or self-sourced prospecting role.
- A history of success in booking qualified meetings or demos
- Resilience and a positive, learning-focused mindset
Nice-to-Have
- Experience selling to educational institutions, particularly early childhood or preschool programs.
- Prior success with small to mid-sized business clients and consultative sales cycles.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor or coach others on outbound sales processes.
- Experience building a new pipeline from scratch in a startup or new market environment.

- Performance bonus based on the number of meetings booked (subject to adjustment based on business needs).
- In Q1, bonuses begin at $250 per meeting booked over 36, and increase to $400 per meeting over 55.
- The Q2 structure will be revised to reflect seasonal variations in meeting availability.
