GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Finance Supervisor will assist the Finance Manager in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, and effective budgeting processes.

SPECIFIC TASKS:

  1. Provide oversight and support to finance operations, ensuring that controls, processes, and reporting standards are consistently implemented.

  2. Review and analyze general ledger account balances to ensure accuracy and proper classification.

  3. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

  4. Review contracts, deeds of sale, and other related documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.

  5. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare schedules of taxes for submission to Group Finance/Tax Compliance.

  6. Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.

  7. Monitor adherence to accounting and reporting deadlines (e.g. month-end closing, quarterly reports, year-end audit requirements) and help resolve bottlenecks or issues as they arise.

  8. Support the preparation of budgets, and conduct monitoring and variance analysis.

  9. Liaise with department heads to ensure budget adherence across all departments.

  10. Perform financial analyses, including cost sensitivity scenarios and cash flow forecasts.

  11. Collaborate closely with the Accounting Supervisor to ensure alignment between accounting records and financial reporting.

  12. Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance department, and work with the Finance Manager to optimize reporting and financial systems.

  13. Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors from time to time.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA required.

  2. At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a supervisory role.

  3. Background in the real estate industry is strongly preferred.

  4. Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  5. Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting is an advantage.

  6. Working knowledge of ERP systems and financial software.

  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
