Job Description

  • Leaders motivate their team members to do great work, clearly and consistently communicate expectations and the organization's cultural norms to them, and unite them with a shared sense of purpose to achieve the vision.
  • Manages and participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned programs; recommends and administers policies and procedures.
  • Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of Inventory personnel and procedures.
  • Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for assigned staff; assigns work activities, projects, and programs; reviews and evaluates work products, methods, and procedures; meets with staff to identify and resolve problems.
  • Develops long-term inventory plans; forecast need for consumable items, materials, and equipment; directly responsible for planning, budgeting, and requisitioning the consumable material required to support all warehouses recurring and non-recurring maintenance activities.
  • Oversees development of short-term inventory plans; coordinates overall inventory levels; approves and posts inventory purchase requisitions.
  • Manages the computerized inventory system; develops standards for database accuracy; assists with modifications and improvements.
  • Selects, trains, motivates, and evaluates assigned personnel; provides or coordinates staff training; works with employees to correct deficiencies; implements discipline and termination procedures.
  • Conducts a variety of organizational studies, investigations, and operational studies; recommends modifications to inventory control programs, policies, and procedures as appropriate.
  • Create and submit accurate Purchase requests on time.
  • Reports slow, non-moving, and fast-moving monthly.
  • Works with management to identify areas of improvement in storage and ordering practices.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and people.
  • Must be able to track and verify shipments (inbound and outbound)
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills to identify, cope and anticipate problems, as they arise
  • Maintains workplace duties and ensures safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

  • Oversee day-to-day operation, Manage the operation and admin.
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Management and other leaders of the Operations in order to deliver timely and accurate information.
  • Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventories.
  • Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity.
  • Manage cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis.
  • Train newly hired employees of the approved process of Warehouse and Inventory
  • Approved MRF and MTF for every request received from partners and in every warehouse.
  • Perform and generate month-end reports, quarterly and annual.

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, logistics or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of (full-time equivalent) verifiable professional inventory control experience includingars of administrative and/or supervisory responsibility.

  • Methods and techniques of statistical, qualitative, and quantitative analysis.
  • Business computer applications related to inventory control.
  • Methods and procedures of manual and computerized inventory recordkeeping.
  • Principles and practices of budget preparation and administration.
  • Principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Principles and practices of accounting.

Will Oversee a team of inventory. Coach, advise, and guide the team. Make effective mentorship. Learn to collaborate and cooperate with people in all situations. Find a decision-making process that helps the team make smarter and quick decisions. Make a decision based on what is best for the company and team. Work with the team to develop more efficient systems and processes.

  • Overseeing and participating in the management of a comprehensive inventory control program.
  • Overseeing, directing and coordinating the work of lower-level staff.
  • Selecting, supervising, training, and evaluating staff.
  • Developing, organizing, and maintaining long-term inventory plans and accurate records.
  • Operating office equipment including computers and supporting word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Implementing and maintaining a computerized inventory control system.
  • Participating in the development and administration of division goals, objectives, and procedures.
  • Analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of proposed actions and implementing recommendations in support of goals.
  • Researching, analyzing, and evaluating new service delivery methods and techniques.
  • Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
