Job Description

  • Handles AIR/SEA FREIGHT CUSTOMS BROKERAGE shipments and prepares, reviews, and lodges Import and Export Declarations through the BOC's E2M system.
  • Classify goods according to the Harmonized System (HS) Code and ensure proper computation of duties, taxes, and other charges.
  • Verify import/export documents such as Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Import Entry (SAD), and Permits or Clearances from government agencies (e.g., BIR, NTC, DOF, LTO, FDA, DA, DTI, DENR, etc).
  • Coordinate with Freight Forwarders, Truckers, Operations staff, and clients for document requirements, shipment status, processing updates, dispatching/delivery of shipments.
  • In-charge of answering customer queries/shipment updates through calls/emails/text.
  • Ensure compliance with all BOC regulations, Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) provisions, and company policies.
  • In-charge of coordinating with customs processors to ensure smooth customs release of shipments.
  • Assists customers in BOC Accreditation of Importers (New/Renewal).
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of processed entries and supporting documents.
  • Support the company and the client in audits, assessments, and post-entry verifications when necessary.

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of BS Customs Administration
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in customs brokerage and/or freight forwarding is required
