Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, encode, and lodge import/export entries for NVOCC shipments using the BOC E2M system.
- Verify completeness and accuracy of shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, Invoice, Packing List, and Import Permits.
- Coordinate closely with customs brokers, port operators, shipping lines, and clients to ensure timely processing of declarations.
- Check tariff codes, dutiable values, and taxes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor the status of lodged entries and respond promptly to BOC queries or alerts.
- Prepare and file amendments or cancellations as required by BOC procedures.
- Maintain accurate and updated records of all filed declarations, permits, and other documentation.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies or issues affecting cargo release and delivery.
- Ensure full compliance with BOC regulations, Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA), and related government policies.
- Support the NVOCC operations team in day-to-day documentation and reporting tasks.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Customs Administration, Logistics Management, or a related field.
- Preferably with 1–2 years of experience as a Declarant or Documentation Staff in an NVOCC, forwarding, or brokerage company.
- Knowledgeable in customs clearance procedures, HS code classification, and BOC systems (E2M, VASP).
- Familiar with shipping processes, containerized cargo handling, and NVOCC operations.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance awareness.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word).
- Excellent coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
- Can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
