Job Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the entire operations of our nickel mining site. The ideal candidate has expertise in mine planning, production, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:


• Lead daily mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and productive activities in accordance with industry standards and company goals.


• Manage the implementation of short-term and long-term mine plans and schedules.


• Monitor production output and optimize resource allocation to meet targets for nickel grade, volume, and cost.


• Ensure strict compliance with environmental regulations, occupational health and safety standards, and local permits.


• Supervise department heads (e.g., engineering, geology, maintenance, processing) to ensure seamless coordination across all functions.


• Drive continuous improvement in operational performance through analysis, innovation, and best practices.


• Manage and control operational budgets, capital expenditures, and cost-efficiency programs.


• Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, contractors, suppliers, and the local community.


• Prepare and submit regular reports to senior management on performance, incidents, risks, and corrective actions.


• Lead the development and training of key personnel, promoting a high-performance and safety-driven culture.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.


• At least 10 years of progressive experience in mining operations, with 5+ years in a leadership role.


• Proven track record managing open-pit nickel mining operations.


• Strong understanding of Philippine mining laws, DENR/MGB regulations, and labor standards.


• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Experience in managing multi-cultural teams and engaging with LGUs.


• Willing to be assigned on-site and work extended hours as needed.

• Willing to relocate to DINAGAT ISLANDS.
