As Planner/Buyer I, roles and responsibilities include:

Initiate proactive efforts with external supply base to improve on-time delivery or quality and reduce cost. Examples are LTA's with additional sources, vendor managed inventory, etc. Monitor status and maintain accurate parts schedules within MRP. Communicate issues in a timely manner to Supply Chain Lead, Supply Chain Manager, Commodity Manager, Production Planner and/or Program Manager. Make suggestions to improve efficiency in the buying activities. Gather data, generate reports and interpret information to make action plans. Includes identifying root causes, corrective and preventive actions; make presentations. Participate in cross functional teams (CFT) to handle a variety of projects. Apply basic knowledge in local and international trade: terms and conditions, incoterms, payment and price terms, mode of payments, insurance and risks, etc. Apply basic negotiation skills. Apply knowledge of technical specifications of purchased parts and raw materials.

Education, Training, and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Behavioral sciences or Engineering Minimum of 3 years as buyer Must possess strong business acumen, excellent time management skills and must be highly adaptable and capable of working independently. Must be able to communicate effectively in English (both written and oral and possess excellent interpersonal skills)

This position requires access to Philippines export-controlled information.
