Job Summary:
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring high-quality service, efficient operations, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, controlling costs, maintaining quality standards, and implementing company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service.
- Recruit, train, and manage restaurant staff, including scheduling and performance evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage stock levels to minimize waste and shortages.
- Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve customer retention, and boost profitability.
- Oversee cash handling, daily sales reports, and financial transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness, ambiance, and overall appearance of the restaurant.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure food quality, consistency, and timely service.
- Enforce company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct regular staff meetings to address updates, goals, and operational improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a supervisory role in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
