User Research Specialist

Job Description:

  • Design and execute user research plans, covering qualitative and quantitative methods (interviews, focus groups, diary studies, usability testing, surveys, behavioral data analysis, etc.)
  • Deeply understand user needs, pain points, motivations, and usage contexts; output actionable research insights
  • Translate findings into actionable deliverables: insights reports, personas, journey maps, and key metrics (KPIs)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, data, operations) to drive product decisions and feature iterations
  • Design and maintain research roadmaps; build and maintain research method libraries, templates, and reusable research tools
  • Participate in A/B testing and experiment design; assess how UX changes affect user behavior
  • Ensure ethical compliance and data privacy; conduct research in line with relevant regulations

Work Experience(Years)

  • 2–5 years in user research; prior experience in internet/SaaS/mobile apps is a plus

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher; preferred majors include Marketing, Sociology, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Statistics

Skills:

  • Solid research methods; able to design and execute complete research plans independently
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis abilities; proficient with analysis tools (SPSS/Excel/R/Python basics; SQL a plus)
  • Excellent synthesis and communication; able to translate complex insights into actionable product recommendations
  • Experience in producing personas, journey maps, task analysis, scenario modeling, etc. - Strong project management capability; able to deliver across multiple projects

Language & Communication:

  • Proficient English reading of research literature preferred

Personal Traits:

  • Empathetic, inquisitive, results-oriented, curious about products

Desirable Plus Points:

  • Experience with cross-cultural user research
  • Ability to design and conduct home-based or in-person research scenarios
  • Familiarity with research ethics, informed consent, data anonymization
