Finance Operations Lead

Job Summary

This is a pivotal leadership role overseeing financial reporting and accounting operations for a group of 4–6 entities within the Asia-Pacific region. The Financial Reporting Lead is responsible for managing end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) operations, ensuring accurate financial statements compliant with both local GAAP and IFRS standards.

The role involves direct oversight of Chief Accounting Officers (CAOs) for each market entity and leadership of R2R accounting teams based in the Philippine hubs (Cebu and Clark), while maintaining strong collaboration with Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) operations to ensure integrity of sub-ledger data.

The Financial Reporting Lead supports regulatory compliance, internal and external audits, and promotes adherence to internal controls, ethics, and corporate compliance guidelines. This role is instrumental in executing finance transformation initiatives and driving standardization across the region, while also contributing strategic financial insights to senior leadership for decision-making and planning.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for entities under management (Local GAAP and IFRS)

• Maintain oversight and accountability for all reporting and month-end closing activities

• Interpret, communicate, and implement new accounting standards and methods

• Conduct quality assurance through KPIs, account reconciliations, aging reports, and performance reviews

Process Harmonization and Improvement

• Implement and enforce standardized accounting processes across all entities in collaboration with global R2R process management

• Promote consistency in accounting practices, identifying areas for process improvement

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead, coach, and support CAOs and R2R teams to ensure high performance, compliance, and achievement of financial objectives

• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability

• Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to perform effectively

Internal Controls and Audit

• Ensure compliance with corporate internal control standards and implement effective control mechanisms

• Collaborate closely with internal control teams and manage internal and external audit requirements

• Proactively address deficiencies and implement corrective measures across entities

Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, standards, and corporate policies

• Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial risks across the cluster

• Stay current with regulatory changes and industry developments

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in strategic projects and finance transformation initiatives

• Contribute financial insights to support business decisions and strategic planning

• Fulfill other ad hoc duties as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in financial management or accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role with global scope

• Experienced with delivering finance and accounting operations for the APAC or AAP region

• Strong expertise in IFRS, local GAAP, internal controls, and financial regulations

• Proven experience in process harmonization and standardization in a global setting

• Proficient in SAP and other financial systems and reporting tools

• Experience in the automotive industry or multi-market operations is an advantage

• Fluent in English; additional language skills (e.g., German or local market languages) are a plus
