Job Summary
The Finance Operations Lead for the Americas is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing Finance and Accounting functions for the region. This role ensures the smooth delivery of day-to-day services and leads key transformation efforts to align current operations with the future Finance Target Operating Model.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, deep accounting expertise, and the ability to manage large-scale projects. This includes guiding operational teams, optimizing finance processes, and supporting strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. A strong understanding of business and financial regulations is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis
Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports for the region
Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Analyze financial data to deliver strategic recommendations to leadership

Operational Management
Lead day-to-day finance and accounting activities, including subledger and general ledger management
Ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery across finance functions
Establish and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets

Transformation Leadership
Drive the transformation journey toward the new Finance Target Operating Model
Develop and implement strategies that improve finance process efficiency and performance
Champion continuous improvement initiatives and align operations with best practices

Project Management
Lead and coordinate finance-related projects across their full lifecycle
Ensure timely delivery, scope control, and budget adherence of all finance initiatives
Utilize appropriate project management tools and methodologies to track progress

Stakeholder Engagement
Establish strong, collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external partners
Keep senior leadership informed with timely updates on operational and transformation progress
Facilitate cross-department alignment and communication within the business

Performance Measurement
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate success across operations and projects
Interpret data to highlight trends and pinpoint areas of improvement
Deliver actionable insights to drive financial and operational decision-making

Additional Responsibilities
Support other ad hoc or strategic duties as required by business priorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA is a strong advantage)
  • Extensive experience (8-10 years) in leading global finance and accounting operations in a complex or matrix organization
  • Must have extensive background supporting the Americas/ US region
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and compliance frameworks
  • Proven track record in leading transformation and change initiatives
  • Proficiency in managing complex projects, preferably with project management certifications or tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and data analysis skills
