ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

The responsibilities of an accounting assistant typically involve supporting the accounting

department in managing financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of accounting

tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Data Entry and Record Maintenance

 Enter financial data such as invoices, receipts, and payments into accounting software.

 Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for auditing and review.

  1. Accounts Payable and Receivable

 Process invoices, track incoming payments, and handle outgoing payments to vendors.

 Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring timely payments.

 Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

  1. Bank Reconciliations

 Reconcile bank statements with internal records.

 Investigate any discrepancies and report findings to senior accounting staff.

  1. Assisting with Financial Reporting

 Assist in preparing financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and

other accounting summaries.

 Help compile data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

  1. Supporting Audits

 Assist in the preparation and organization of documents for internal and external audits.

 Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

  1. Communication with Vendors and Clients

 Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payment status, and discrepancies.

 Respond to inquiries from clients and resolve billing issues.

  1. General Administrative Support

 Provide administrative support such as filing, handling phone calls, and managing

correspondence related to accounting matters.

 Assist with special projects as assigned by senior accounting staff.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

 Strong attention to detail.

 Basic knowledge of accounting principles.

 Good organizational and communication skills.

 Honest and Reliable attitude towards work.

Qualifications:

 Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Accounting Management and or Financial

Management

 Experience: minimum 1 year experience as an Accounting Staff

 Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and financial analysis

skills.

 Tools: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and ability to work

with spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php40,000.00 per month
