I JOB OVERVIEW

An Accounting Manager is responsible in managing and overseeing daily operations of the Accounting Department.  She analyzes accounting data and produce financial reports or statements. In addition, she develop and implement department controls and procedures and ensure that the department operates efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.

II DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitor the day to day financial operations within the company such as disbursements, payroll and other transactions

2. Oversee accounting department employees including payroll personnel and accountants

3. Apply professional knowledge and skills in the preparation and presentation of financial information needed by management

4. Analyze and interpret financial information that top management need in order to make sound business decisions

5. Present financial reports to top management

6. Review and monitor costs integral in the business

7. Get involved in financial forecasting and planning

8. Perform variance analysis

9. Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company

10. Coordinate with bank personnel regarding settlement of company's obligations such as Promissory Note (PN), Letter for Credits (LC), and Telegraphic Transfers (TT); and other financial needs as necessary

III SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field

2. CPA or CMA is a plus

3. Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software and databases

4. Strong understanding of accounting, finance and management principles

5. High level of efficiency and accuracy

6. Great interpersonal and communication skills

7. Critical thinker and problem solving skills

8. Attention to detail and ability to analyze large amounts of data
