Key Responsibilities

  • Write and edit copy for various platforms, including websites, brochures, flyers, email campaigns, blog posts, internal communications, and social media.
  • Create persuasive, SEO-friendly content to support marketing and recruitment initiatives.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers and web developers to ensure alignment of messaging, visuals, and functionality.
  • Tailor messaging for diverse audiences such as job seekers, foster parents, referral sources, and business partners.
  • Develop campaign messaging and contribute to creative concepts for brand projects.
  • Maintain and refine the brand's tone and voice over time.
  • Adapt copy to suit different objectives, from informative and supportive to urgent and action-oriented.
  • Edit and revise content from other contributors to ensure clarity, tone consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Ensure all content is culturally relevant, accessible, and appropriate for a U.S.-based audience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a copywriter or content writer, preferably in marketing or a mission-driven organization.
  • Excellent command of U.S. English with strong editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience writing for both B2C and B2B audiences.
  • Solid understanding of SEO best practices for web content.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Docs, WordPress, and SEO plug-ins or platforms.
  • Bonus: Background in healthcare, nonprofit, or social services.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with AP Style or similar editorial guidelines.
