About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee end-to-end accounting operations — from transaction recording to financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in US accounting and reporting standards (US GAAP), along with proven experience in team management. This role will also involve oversight of bookkeeping, financial statements, tax compliance, and, optionally, payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire accounting cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping and general ledger records.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with US tax laws, assisting with preparation and filing as needed.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accountants and bookkeepers, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to deadlines.
  • Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, assign tasks, and provide performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Support payroll processing and related accounting tasks (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 6–7 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 4 years in US accounting and team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and US financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work night shifts to align with US business hours.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with US tax compliance and payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, reporting tools, and automation processes.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Competitive compensation offered, with a potential salary increase of 30–40% over current CTC, based on relevant prior experience.
