The Accounting Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective team management. This role supports the finance manager by supervising staff, improving accounting processes, and maintaining financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and guide accounting staff in daily tasks and month-end close activities.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of financial statements, reports, and ledgers.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll processes.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Handle escalated accounting issues and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports for management review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in accounting, with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
