Job Description:

  • Lead and manage the Broadcasting/Communications/Journalism/Multimedia Arts Department, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and academic standards.
  • Oversee curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation processes.
  • Support faculty development, recruitment, and evaluation.
  • Promote research initiatives and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Represent the department in university-wide committees and external engagements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and licensure standards for department programs.
  • Facilitate student success through academic advising and program enhancement.
  • Manage departmental budget and resources effectively.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Arts/Communication/Journalism or any related field
  • Master's degree
  • PhD units (preferred but not required)
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of academic industry experience
  • Prior leadership or administrative experience in an academic setting is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Commitment to academic excellence, diversity, and ethical practice.
