About the role:

We are seeking a Full-Stack Developer to join our small but mighty team. You will collaborate with another senior developer, designer, product manager, and other personnel, to bring the Essential Estates service to life and continue to drive its growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience: An experienced full-stack developer with a proven track record of significant projects.
  • User Experience: Strong understanding of user experience best practices and frameworks.
  • Time Zone Alignment: Ability to work on a time zone that overlaps well with 6am-3pm Pacific Time (project personnel are based in California and Brazil).
  • Communication: Excellent communicator in English, capable of engaging in highly engaged conversations for effective daily collaboration.
  • Autonomy & Drive: High emotional intelligence (EQ) and executive function, demonstrating the ability to make independent decisions based on goals, working in a squad model.
  • Team Collaboration: Must be able to work effectively with a small tight-knit team.
  • Embracing change: Interest in furthering the state of the art, demonstrating a willingness to try AI-asstive coding tools and other innovative techniques

Technical Requirements:

Must be facile or able to quickly learn the following based on our current stack:

  • Frontend (UI): React, TypeScript, Redux, Material UI.
  • Backend : Node, NestJS, TypeORM.
  • Database: PostgreSQL.
  • Cloud Hosting: AWS (Amazon Web Services).

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience developing software in a web development environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, overlap with Pacific Time at least from 9am-3pm
