Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic HR Intern to join our team. This hands-on internship offers exposure across the essential functions of Human Resources, including Recruitment, Employee Relations, and HR Administration. The ideal candidate is a proactive student eager to learn and contribute to a supportive and high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Based on the dynamic needs of a manpower agency, your responsibilities may include rotating through or supporting the following areas:
A. Employee Relations and Engagement Support
- Assisting in the orientation and onboarding process for newly deployed personnel.
- Supporting the maintenance of positive employee relations, including coordinating communication and wellness initiatives.
- Helping to organize and document disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
B. Recruitment and Sourcing
- Supporting the full-cycle recruitment process, from posting job advertisements on platforms like Indeed to screening resumes.
- Conducting initial phone screenings and scheduling interviews for various client-site positions.
- Maintaining and updating the candidate database (Applicant Tracking System) to ensure accurate records.
C. HR Administration and Compliance
- Performing essential data entry and ensuring the integrity of employee records and files.
- Assisting with the preparation of necessary HR documents, contracts, and internal reports.
- Supporting payroll preparation by compiling and verifying timekeeping data.
What You'll Learn
This internship is designed to give you a comprehensive foundation in HR within a demanding service-based environment. You will gain practical skills in:
- Talent Acquisition Strategy: Mastering effective sourcing, screening, and interview techniques for high-volume staffing needs.
- Philippine Labor Law Fundamentals: Understanding the basic legal requirements related to employee contracts, compensation, and separation in the manpower industry.
- Conflict Resolution and Communication: Developing professional communication skills necessary for managing employee issues and fostering positive workplace relationships.
- HRIS and Data Management: Becoming proficient in using HR systems to maintain accurate and confidential employee data.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A high degree of professionalism and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
