Reports To: Cafe Manager

Job Summary: Warabimochi Kamakura is a café renowned for its authentic and delectable warabimochi, a traditional Japanese dessert. We pride ourselves on delivering a unique experience that highlights the beauty of Japanese culture and flavors. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic. You will play a critical role in crafting high-quality warabimochi and other traditional Japanese desserts, ensuring the authenticity and quality our customers expect. This role involves food preparation, kitchen maintenance, and supporting seamless operations behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare warabimochi and other menu items according to traditional recipes and company standards.
  • Measure, mix, and handle ingredients with precision and care.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene protocols are strictly followed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including washing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
  • Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and report shortages promptly.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders.
  • Conduct quality checks on ingredients and finished products to ensure consistency.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role. Preferred experience in bakery.
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and processes with precision.
  • Strong focus on cleanliness, organization, and safety.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • No color blindness.
