We are looking for an Accounting Controller which will be a key team player on the finance team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's accounting operations. This role is critical for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining robust internal controls, and providing strategic financial insights to support the company's growth. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of a modern, scaling, technology-focused business.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal financial controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and present findings to leadership.
  • Manage tax filings and compliance, including corporate, state, and local taxes.
  • Lead the annual audit process and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
  • Partner with department heads to manage budgets and provide financial forecasting and analysis.
  • Implement and optimize accounting software and systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a controller or similar leadership role.
  • Proven experience in a high-growth startup or technology company environment.
  • Deep knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
  • Strong experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php35,000.00 per month
