Deputy Controller

We are seeking a seasoned Deputy Controller to lead our accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting functions. This role ensures our financial operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with strategic goals, while driving continuous improvement and effective risk management.

As Deputy Controller, you will oversee key finance areas including Budget & Control, General Accounting, Regulatory Compliance, Investment Accounting, Reinsurance Accounting, Tax, and Billing. You will play a critical role in strengthening financial governance, enhancing team capabilities, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide strategic leadership across accounting, budgeting, reporting, and financial controls.
  • Oversee budget planning, monitoring, and reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, IFRS 5 and IFRS 17, and internal audit practices.
  • Manage risk identification, assessment, and mitigation initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, banks, and consultants.

What We're Looking For:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines.
  • 10–15 years of progressive managerial experience in the Financial Services industry.
  • Strong expertise in accounting, budgeting, risk management, and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience with IFRS 5 and IFRS 17.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

This is a leadership role for a finance professional who thrives on driving operational excellence and building strong, collaborative relationships.
