OPTIMAL is a rapidly growing organization specializing in US Real Estate Accounting, managing a growing portfolio of clients, encompassing thousands of properties. We are experts across multiple U.S. accounting Software and interface directly with U.S-based clients daily.

Designation: Controller

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensures accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Oversees the creation of budgets and financial forecasts
  • Analyzes variances and provides insights to management

Internal Controls

  • Establishes and monitors internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Ensures proper procedures are in place for financial transactions

Accounting Oversight

  • Manages accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations
  • Oversees the month-end and year-end closing processes

Audit & Compliance

  • Coordinate external audits
  • Ensures compliance with tax laws and regulatory requirements

Cash Flow Management

  • Monitors cash flow and liquidity
  • Advises on funding strategies and working capital

Team Leadership

  • Leads and mentors the accounting staff
  • Works closely with the CEO and Senior Controller/CFO to support strategic decisions

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, not necessarily a CPA for a Property Bookkeeping position
  • At least 5 years of bookkeeping and managerial experience, must be a CPA for a Property Accountant Manager position
  • Strong accounting skills, with a focus on financial statements, ledgers, and reporting, essential for managing and analyzing property finances.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and make accurate forecasts.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders including property managers, tenants, vendors, and financial institutions.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Understanding of property management principles and real estate industry knowledge to effectively perform the roles and responsibilities of the job.
  • Problem-solving skills to address any discrepancies or issues in financial reports and property management.
  • Time-management skills to meet important accounting deadlines and manage multiple properties simultaneously.

Work Details:

  • Employment Type: Independent Contractor, Full-time (AM) or Part-time (Consultant)
  • Schedule: Time: EST, CST, MST, PST business hours (U.S Based Clients)

Compensation Package:

  • 75,000 to 110,000
  • 100% Remote Work
  • Starting pay commensurate with your skills and experience.
  • Weekends Off
  • 10 Paid Time Off per year
  • 6 Paid Holidays (Based on Philippine Holidays)

-HMO (Comprehensive Medical & Dental - 100% Paid for by Company) on your 6th month
