Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic
Corporate Communications and Public Relations Specialist
to join our Corporate Communications team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring consistent and compelling brand messaging across all digital and internal channels. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and skilled communicator who can manage cross-functional projects, create engaging content, and support executive communications, all while fostering a strong internal culture and enhancing our digital presence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Internal Communications

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies to foster employee engagement and strengthen company culture.
  • Manage internal social media platforms and content calendars, ensuring timely and relevant messaging.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to craft communications that support employee experience and organizational initiatives.

2. Digital and Website Management

  • Oversee company website(s), including content updates, SEO optimization, user experience enhancements, and analytics reporting.
  • Implement PPC/SEO strategies to improve visibility and drive traffic.
  • Coordinate with technical teams and external vendors on web development projects.

3. Brand Management

  • Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external touchpoints.
  • Support brand governance by aligning corporate, subsidiary, and employer branding with overarching strategy.
  • Maintain and manage a centralized digital asset library for visual and brand materials.

4. Content Creation and Creative Strategy

  • Produce high-quality multimedia content, including graphics, infographics, videos, and presentations.
  • Lead video production efforts for both internal campaigns and external communications.
  • Support crisis communication and storytelling efforts that reflect the company's values and identity.

5. Executive Communications

  • Assist executives with internal and external communications including speechwriting, presentation development, social media presence, and media content creation (e.g., video messages, headshots, and interviews).

6. Event Management

  • Plan and execute internal and external events from concept to delivery.
  • Ensure event branding and messaging are consistent with company values and strategic goals.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments including Marketing, HR, and Executive Leadership.
  • Provide strategic guidance to employer branding and communications teams.
  • Liaise with agencies and vendors to ensure alignment on digital and creative deliverables.

8. Agency and Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with creative, digital, and communications agencies.
  • Oversee project scopes, timelines, and deliverables to ensure quality and alignment with brand objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Experience in the power generation industry preferred but not required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in digital communications, internal communications, or brand management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CMS platforms, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and design/video tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
  • Experience managing internal social media platforms (e.g., Workplace, Yammer) and digital campaigns.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in corporate communications within a mid-to-large enterprise.
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM, UX best practices, and digital advertising.
  • Familiarity with executive communications and leadership branding.
