JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

Location: Philippines (Remote)

Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM PHT

Experience Required: Minimum 1-2 years' Accounting for Australian accounting firms or SMEs

About the Role

We are looking for an Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who has started their career in public practice and already has hands-on experience working with Australian accounting firms. You will be working on compliance tasks, supporting senior team members, and developing your technical and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and sole trader tax returns in line with Australian tax standards.
• Assist in preparing BAS/IAS under the guidance of senior accountants.
• Complete bank reconciliations, coding, and simple workpapers.
• Support in preparing financial statements and reports.
• Communicate with clients (as needed) to obtain missing information or clarifications.
• Work collaboratively with senior accountants and managers to deliver accurate, timely results.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an Australian accounting firm (mandatory).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong technical knowledge in preparing individual returns and basic compliance work.
• Experience with Australian accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, HandiSoft, APS, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow established processes.
