About the role

The Process and Quality Engineer is vital in driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the warehousing and transportation operations. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and a deep understanding of warehousing and transportation processes to achieve operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct thorough analysis of current warehousing and transportation processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement process improvements that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a quality management system (QMS) specific to warehousing and transportation operations.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and reviews to ensure adherence to internal and external standards and regulations.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve process and quality objectives within the warehousing and transportation areas.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Generate reports and dashboards for management, highlighting performance trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., warehousing, transportation, supply chain) and external partners to ensure alignment of process and quality goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the organization.
  • Ensure warehousing and transportation operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices

What we're looking for

  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in warehousing and transportation operations, with a proven track record in process improvement and quality management within these sectors.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and analysis tools (e.g., Visio).
  • Advanced knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), including ISO 9001 and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data analysis software (e.g., Excel).
  • Be able to conduct Kaizen activities by using IE tools.
