Reporting into the Internal Audit/Compliance Senior Officer, this role at WELCOME BANK (RURAL BANK), INC.' offers a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving financial institution, wherein you will conduct internal audits and provide strategic support to the finance team.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing audits on operations and internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Preparing comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address areas for improvement
  • Assists/ support in the development and/or enhancement and implementation of audit policies and procedures
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and industry regulations
  • Contributing to the continuous enhancement of the bank's audit practices

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years of internal or external audit experience, preferably within the banking or financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of audit principles, methodologies, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in data analysis, risk assessment, and report writing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
  • Familiarity with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Internal Audit, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional qualification
