Freelance Evaluator and Editor of English Textbooks

  • Evaluates the Manuscript by providing comments containing detailed queries, suggestions and/or recommendations on identified content parts to ensure the following:
  • Compliance to the content and performance standards as per the MATATAG Curriculum Guide
  • Conformity to the instructional design of the content in each worktext elements as per the Product Design Brief
  • Lessons and activities alignment to the learning demands of the learning objectives in the Publishing Plan
  • Appropriateness of illustration samples and illustration specifications on identified content parts
  • Security and safe use of all references/sources
  • Alignment of the quarter/unit/chapter and lesson titles indicated in the Table of Contents with the quarter/unit/chapter and lesson titles indicated in the inside pages

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) major in English, Bachelor of Arts in English, or a Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) major in English
  • Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) or Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) with a specialization in English Language Education or a similar master's degree.
  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education with a major in English, the PhD in English Language Studies/Applied Linguistics, or the Doctor of Education (EdD) with a specialization in English Language Teaching (ELT)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of teaching experience in Filipino at the elementary level.
  • Preferably with leadership experience as a Coordinator, Head Teacher, or equivalent position in a school setting.

Other Desired Competencies:

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with proven ability to work with colleagues, parents, and administrators.
