AI Engineer

THE OPPORTUNITY
Our partner is a cutting-edge, full-service marketing agency that combines data-driven insights with bold creative strategies to deliver high-impact business results. They collaborate with diverse clients to create marketing solutions that captivate audiences and drive measurable performance.

As part of the AI & Analytics team, you'll play a key role in building and optimizing AI-powered workflows, working at the intersection of data, automation, and creativity. This hands-on role involves leveraging LLMs, orchestrating AI pipelines, and transforming structured data into actionable outputs—from prompt creation and data handling to reviewing AI-generated code and preparing deliverables.

This position follows a hybrid setup with mostly remote work and occasional onsite reporting (1–2 times per month) and operates on Australian business hours (6:00 AM–3:00 PM PST).

Key Responsibilities
AI-Powered Content & Workflow Automation

• Convert structured data and research into AI-assisted outputs like webpages, reports, or auto-generated PDFs.
• Build and maintain AI workflows, integrating APIs, LLMs, and automation tools to streamline processes and reduce manual work.
• Optimize prompts and context engineering to enhance AI-driven content, data processing, and app/web outputs.
• Collaborate with teams to embed AI into campaigns, reporting, and decision-making tools for scalable execution.

Code Review & Technical Adaptation

• Debug, refine, and repurpose generative AI outputs following software engineering best practices.
• Support development of internal utilities and automation tools that enhance AI workflows.
• Data Integration & Lifecycle Management
• Create automated data flows (e.g., Google Sheets → AI → Output) for analytics and deliverables.
• Ensure clean, structured data handling and formatted AI outputs for reporting or visualization.
• Collaborate with data teams to translate insights into operational tools and automation.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities for AI adoption and workflow improvements.
• Maintain documentation and internal knowledge on AI tools, prompts, and processes.

Skills, Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Knowledge of LLMs, generative AI tools, and prompt engineering, with exposure to AI APIs like OpenAI and Gemini.
• Familiar with Python scripting, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for debugging and refining AI-generated outputs.
• Skilled in reading, debugging, and adapting AI-assisted code for structured data sources (Google Sheets, JSON, CSV) and API-based workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Passionate about AI applications in automation, data insights, and visualization.
• Preferred Skills: Experience with automation/orchestration tools (n8n, Make, Zapier) and dashboarding tools (Power BI, Looker).
• Understanding of marketing analytics workflows, KPIs, and data-driven use cases.
