Summary of Position:

The Finance Associate is responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in alignment with company policies and accounting principles. This role performs daily processing of vendor payments, disbursements, customer billing, collections, and reconciliations. The Finance Associate maintains accurate financial records, ensures timely invoicing and payment processing, and supports the organization in maintaining a healthy cash flow.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze financial reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for AP and AR.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in internal and external audits related to payables and receivables.
  • Support the Finance Department in preparation of the financial report
  • Prepare and issue client invoices in accordance with contract terms and timelines.
  • Record and apply customer payments accurately to open invoices.
  • Reconcile discrepancies, hanging balances, and perform adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing and payment issues.
  • Process and validate all requests for payment
  • Review and verify supporting documents before disbursement (e.g., checks, bank transfers, petty cash).
  • Maintain and reconcile petty cash as Petty Cash Custodian.
  • Monitor and replenish petty cash funds and coordinate with warehouse petty cash custodians
  • Track and record daily banking deposits and disbursements.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in business or accounting required.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge with accounting and database software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent accounting skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High numerical aptitude.
  • Detail-oriented.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php18, Php20,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Manila: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
