US Accounting Associate - Work From Home As an Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for managing financial statements, journal entries, and financial analysis. In this role, you will handle day-to-day financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and support financial planning, budgeting, and analysis. You will also assist in maintaining accounting policies and procedures, help the Controller with financial reporting, and ensure that financial operations are completed accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities: Record daily financial transactions and complete the posting process. Process accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Handle payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timely distribution. Verify transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger, customer, and supplier ledgers. Process rent payments to landlords and tenant payment deposits. Complete and submit required tax forms. Maintain and update financial records, including bank and credit card reconciliations. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and reports. Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting. Work closely with the Accounting Director to ensure the accuracy of financial records. Support the Controller in producing accurate and compliant financial reports. Qualifications: Proficiency in QuickBooks is required; experience with AppFolio is preferred. Solid understanding of accounts payable and receivable principles. Strong ability to calculate, post, and manage financial records. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and high accuracy. Ability to analyze financial data and make sound decisions. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and other accounting software. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Customer service-oriented with effective negotiation skills. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience with tax filing and compliance. Previous work in property management or real estate accounting is a plus. We offer a salary range of $800 to $1200 per month for this role, with the final compensation determined based on your skills and the outcome of your interview. The role requires availability to work according to Los Angeles, California local time (PST timezone), which corresponds to night shift hours in the Philippines. Obtaining an NBI clearance is a necessary step for employment. This is a full-time position with ZUMA, and taking on side gigs is not permitted.
