Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Telecom Engineer/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications infrastructure and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of telecommunications systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the reliable operation of our network.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Configuration: Install and configure telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, fiber optic cables, and wireless systems.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network performance and minimize downtime.
  • Network Infrastructure: Install, maintain, and repair network cabling (fiber optic, copper) and related infrastructure.
  • Testing and Optimization: Conduct tests to identify and resolve network problems, and optimize system performance.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to internal teams and external clients, addressing their telecommunications needs.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and departments to ensure seamless network operations.
  • Keep up to date: Stay current with the latest telecommunications technologies and trends.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree or associate's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+) are a plus.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
