Auxelit Softworks is a rapidly growing Cebu-based software development team, building a web platform that integrates IRS and banking aggregator systems, and planning direct e-file & ACH connections. We value reliability, security, scalability—and a collaborative, growth-mindset culture.

Role Overview:

We're looking for a talented QA Engineer who is comfortable working across manual and automated testing, understands software development lifecycles and methodologies, and thrives working alongside developers, designers, and project leadership. You will be responsible for designing test strategies, executing test cases (manual + automated), documenting bugs and issues, and helping ensure our integrations and platforms meet high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and execute test plans, test cases (manual), and automated test scripts.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing (especially relevant in aggregator/integration context).
  • Work with the development team to understand product requirements, workflows, and risks.
  • Log, track, prioritize defects and ensure proper resolution.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups and test status reporting (Agile/Scrum environment).
  • Assist in improving QA processes, tools, and automation frameworks.
  • Provide documentation and clearly communicate test coverage, risks, and results to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate well with team members, be flexible across tasks, and adapt as the company grows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in software QA (manual + automation preferred)is required.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter, or similar) and manual testing tools.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, quality assurance best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to clearly document findings.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative team.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt in a startup-growth environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with APIs, integration testing or financial/aggregator systems.
  • Experience building or maintaining QA automation frameworks.
  • Experience in cloud/web-based applications or SaaS platforms.
