Job description:
Purchasing Associate supports the importation team by providing claims support to any insurance liabilities we or the suppliers may have.
You will provide both international and local purchasing support by sourcing leveraged means to transport products from our suppliers to our shores. Also, provide sourcing expertise in purchasing local services or products needed by the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process purchase orders based on approved requests.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible discounts and offers.
- Track and monitor all orders and deliveries to ensure timely arrival.
- Manage all claims by reporting shipment-related damages to the insurance company.
- Oversee and finalize all claims within a 60-day window.
- Act on submitted inspection reports and coordinate with insurance providers to fulfill all necessary claim requirements.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a similar field.
- A minimum of 1 year experience as a purchasing and claims associate, or a similar role is preferred.
- Fresh Graduates may apply.
- Good customer service skills.
- The ability to create strong working relationships with personnel, suppliers, and management.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
