Job Summary:

The Store Repairs and Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring all retail store locations are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role oversees repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility upgrades, while managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The position plays a critical role in minimizing operational disruptions and maintaining a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Repairs

  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance and repair activities across all store locations.

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).

  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime.

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with external service providers.

  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with service agreements.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Prepare and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting and cost optimization.

  • Track expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all stores comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain standards.

Project Management

  • Plan and oversee store renovations, refurbishments, and equipment installations.

  • Coordinate with store management to schedule works with minimal disruption.

Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

  • Provide regular reports to management on facility status and improvement plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facilities or maintenance management, preferably in retail.

  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).

  • Excellent vendor negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Proficient in budgeting and cost control.

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
