Section Manager for Facilities and Store Repairs

Job Summary:
The Store Repairs and Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring all retail store locations are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role oversees repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility upgrades, while managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The position plays a critical role in minimizing operational disruptions and maintaining a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repairs
Oversee day-to-day maintenance and repair activities across all store locations.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime.
Vendor & Contractor Management
Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with external service providers.
Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with service agreements.
Budget & Cost Control
Prepare and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting and cost optimization.
Track expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all stores comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain standards.
Project Management
Plan and oversee store renovations, refurbishments, and equipment installations.
Coordinate with store management to schedule works with minimal disruption.
Reporting
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Provide regular reports to management on facility status and improvement plans.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facilities or maintenance management, preferably in retail.
Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
Excellent vendor negotiation and contract management skills.
Proficient in budgeting and cost control.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
