Work Shift: Morning Shift | Monday-FridayAbout the Job:Monthly / Weekly Responsibilities:Prepare and deliver monthly consolidated financial statements across the group.
Review Balance sheet reconciliations and carry out own Balance sheet reconciliations,Enter inter-company transactions to ensure accurate reporting and consolidation through the group. Ensure compliance with AU accounting and tax standards such as GST & BAS.Check payroll processing by coordinating with "payroll officer" to ensure accurate payment of salaries, taxes, and benefits. Internal Controls: Work with the CFO to help establish/improve and maintain strong internal control processes to improve efficiencies.
Tax Compliance: Assist contracted tax advisors to prepare AU tax returns. Prepare and file payroll tax within deadlines. Support the CFO in developing budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis.
Provide regular financial updates and strategic insights to support decision-making. Financial Analysis: Identify opportunities and recommend cost-saving opportunities when possible. Support data-driven decision making to help optimise financial performance (as above)Daily Tasks can Include;Daily cashflow report
Assist team with credit control as needed
Liaising with some suppliers regarding APPosting journals and transactions escalated from other team members.Provide misc reports and support to the CFO and directors
Skills and Qualifications:AU experience – general, tax, payroll
Experience doing accounting across a group of related companies – including inter-company transactions, and group consolidation reporting.CA / CPA Qualified, with minimum 3 years post qualified experience.Able to manage priorities based on CFO and director requests (it's not just the same regimented tasks every day, every month)Experience with creating and customizing management reporting, budgeting and forecasts
Manufacturing experience ideal
Construction experience would be the next best thing. Audit experience (there's no auditing in this role, but the client says audit experience indicates a depth of skill and willingness to deliver on hard projects.
