JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Supervise and manage the store's Kitchen crew
  • Ensure standard kitchen procedures are consistently met: in food preparation, cooking procedures, food safety & sanitation
  • Monitor inventory levels daily and perform weekly inventory assessments
  • Report and be accountable to the Restaurant Manager for the daily Kitchen activities
  • Schedule work shifts for Kitchen staff
  • Train and evaluate old and new Kitchen staff
  • Maintain standard Kitchen efficiency
  • Does various reports such as inventory, cost, and supplies and food ordering
  • Works with Restaurant Manager in coming up with new recipes and R&D if needed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus
  • Must have a valid passport
  • At least 1 year experience in the food/restaurant/hotel industry in kitchen as cook
  • Must be able to work under pressure and extended hours
  • Knowledgeable about food handling and preparation
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
  • Knowledgeable with different kinds of recipes
  • Good organizational skills and has ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
  • Knows basic Microsoft Office programs
  • Familiarity with Profit and Loss report is a plus
  • Must be willing to be assigned in BGC
