Purpose of the Role:
The Innovations Manager is responsible for driving the end-to-end commercialization of new products across the total Unilab Group, covering Philippines and 8 Southeast Asian markets (with the primary markets being Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam). This role focuses on bringing innovations to life, from the Business Opportunity Stage through Product Commitment, Go-to-Market, and Commercial Validation by managing timelines, resources, and cross-functional alignment. The position requires strong project management skills, deep experience in product launches, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams to deliver seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities
Innovation Commercialization
- Leads the full innovation process from BOS to commercialization, ensuring timely and successful product launches across all markets.
- Translates approved concepts into executable plans, coordinating with Sourcing, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Regulatory teams.
- Develops New Product Development (NPD) concepts or idea and translates them into executable plans
- Monitors readiness across all functions and develop NPD business solutions to resolve bottlenecks, mitigate risks to keep projects on trac
Project Management
End-to-end NPD project management and business planning.
Facilitates Stage Gate reviews and ensure compliance with governance requirements.
Tracks progress, manage risks, and provide regular updates to leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Acts as the central point of contact for all innovation-related activities, fostering strong alignment among internal stakeholders.
Partners closely with Revenue & Operations teams to ensure smooth handover during Commercial Validation and launch phases.
Launch Excellence
Co-creation of strategic direction and plans together with the commercial teams and local business units.
- Monitors post-launch performance and gather learnings for continuous improvement.
Critical Capabilities
- Strong project management expertise with experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Proven ability to launch and commercialize products successfully in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or OTC Pharmaceutical industries.
- Excellent collaboration and influencing skills across matrix organizations.
- Ability to manage tight timelines and multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Stage Gate processes and commercialization best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years professional experience in marketing, innovation management, or product launch roles within FMCG or OTC Pharmaceutical industries
- Demonstrated track record of successful product launches and commercialization.
- Advanced project management skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
