Job Summary:
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and expand our sales operations in the construction sector. The Sales Manager will be responsible for setting the sales vision, driving revenue growth, building long-term client relationships, and leading a high-performance sales team. This role requires deep understanding of construction project cycles, client acquisition strategies, and industry dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals.
- Set and monitor KPIs and sales targets across teams and regions.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to maximize performance.
- Identify growth opportunities in both private and government sectors.
Client & Business Development
- Build strong relationships with developers, contractors, architects, consultants, and procurement teams.
- Identify and pursue high-value projects and partnerships in construction, infrastructure, and real estate development.
- Oversee preparation of bids, proposals, and contract negotiations for large-scale projects.
- Represent the company in key client meetings, industry expos, and technical presentations.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to shape product offerings and positioning.
- Provide market forecasts and reports to the executive team to support strategic planning.
Operational Collaboration
- Work closely with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to ensure client requirements are met and projects are feasible and profitable.
- Ensure accurate handover of client expectations to the project execution teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- (Master's degree or MBA is a plus.)
7–10+ years of progressive experience in sales within the construction industry (e.g., general contracting, specialty trades, building materials, design-build).
Proven track record in high-value project sales, contract negotiation, and team leadership.
- Strong network within the construction, real estate, or infrastructure sectors.
- Knowledge of bidding processes, government procurement (if applicable), and construction contracts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
